Angry Birds now worth $1.2 billion at 2:40 AM

The developer of mobile-phone and PC game “Angry Birds”, Rovio Entertainment is said to be in discussions to receive funding that would raise the value of the company to around $1.2 Billion, according to Bloomberg. The investment seems to be a part of the company’s plan for expansion that includes Angry Birds stuffed animal toys, movie and clothing sales at over 200 stores in China and, offices and markets outside Finland. 

According to Bloomberg, sources said that the most probable companies having such talks with Rovio Entertainment are gaming giants Electronic Arts and Zynga along with media giants News Corp. and Walt Disney.
